 Reading books
Reading books will be changed regularly. Every time your child reads please sign their book as they will receive raffle tickets for reading. I will be checking planners regularly to ensure that all children are reading. Please ensure your children always have their reading books in school so that we can listen to them read.

In literacy so far we have written an excellent piece of non fiction writing as well as a limerick poem!

Friday enrichment this term is Forest Schools and Cooking

Our project based homework was a success last year and will continue this year. The children will need to complete a maths and topic homework out of the choices they are given. Once children are given their tasks they will be expected to bring the homework back into school two weeks later where it will be taken in for a week to be marked and sometimes shared with the class. As well as this, children are expected to be reading at least 3 times a week and practising their spellings and number facts weekly. There will be weekly spelling and times tables tests to monitor this. If the children are struggling with their homework please encourage them to come and see me so that I can help them during the first week.  Equally if you would like some advice on how you can help your children with their homework, please just ask.

This term PE will be on a Thursday morning and Friday afternoon. The Thursday session will by Up and Under and the children will be learning how to play tennis.

Please ensure your children have the correct P.E kit in school
